Origion of Lord Shani

Origin of Lord Shani as per Skand Puran
Characteristic of Lord Shani
Lord Shani & Lord Sun
Lord Shani & King Harish Chandra
Lord Shani & Muni Piplad
Lord Shani cursed by his wife
Lord Shani, Ravana & Hanuman
Lord Shani & King Dashrath
As per the story narrated from Bhavishya Puran, Sun is the father and Chhaya is the mother of Lord Shani. Chhaya has been called as Vikshubha or Suvarana also. In ‘Ganapati’ section of this Puran it has also been made clear that since his childhood, Lord Shani was a great devotee of Lord Vishnu and Lord Krishna.
Since his childhood, he remained absorbed in the devotion and the dedication of his deity, Lord Krishna. It is said that Lord Shani, remaining absorbed and thoughtful of his deity makes people deprive of their sins and pains through his three pronged lance and grants them the knowledge of their true form, thus breaking off the shackles of their misdeeds. Our Epics speak of Lord Shani, riding over the vulture, wearing blue cloths carrying bow and a trident (three pronged lance). As per Vedic astrology, Lord Shani owns seven riders i.e. an Elephant, the Horse, the Deer, an Ass, a Dog, a Buffalo and the Vulture. Its a slow moving planet having four arms. As per ‘Bhavishya Puran’, his face is looking polite and the eyes are half-opened. He always remains absorbed in the thoughts of Lord Vasudev (Lord Krishna). His pours are wet in deep thoughts of Lord Krishna. Lord Shani always remain in the prayers of his deity, he has lustre on his face like that of the burning fire, and he is a blackish beauty in complexion and wears the yellow cloths.
He also has a most important and the righteous post among planets just because he acts as a courtier of the God. He owes the ideal role of Guru by purifying people through making them to bear with the results of their misdeeds, thus making them the pious and the pure ones.

Pacify Lord Shani

I am discussing with you, the remedial measures to pacify Lord Shani. Those who themselves are irritated; they have quarrels with their life partner or the business partners or with their boss or their officer. Such students as do not feel at home while studying and the results of their examination are poor in comparison to their hard work, all such happenings are caused by the adversity due to the anguish of Lord Shani. If someone suffers lunacy, rheumatism, the arthritis, the tuberculoses or cancer or likewise incurable or the prolonged diseases, one should understand that it is just because Shani is placed in a malefic position in his birth horoscope. So he must make efforts to cool down or pacify Lord Shani. If Shani is a malefic planet in your horoscope, you can take my help and adopt the remedial measures (told by me to get rid of the troubles), for the troubles you are running into, during major period and sub-period of Lord Shani. This way, you can make your life peaceful and happy. Remember the favourably or unfavourably placed Shani placed means the native has to face the situations caused by such a position due to his destined karmas. The first and the foremost thing is to improve upon your karmas without which no remedial measures is fruitful. Also I would like to mention the everlasting principles: Serve your Parents and elders, Husband and wife's should be loyal to each other and loyalty towards Nation.
Lit a lamp (Deepak) at Pipal tree in the evening and circumambulate around the tree for seven times. After this offer seven ladoos to a black dog. Doing so, Lord Shani grants the positive results.
Even Shani is pacified by offering black desi grams to a black buffalo or a horse, on any Saturday.
Lord Shani can be pacified through the herbs and the roots too. On any Saturday, when ‘Pushya’ constellation is prevailing, one should put on the root of Bichuva Buti or Shami (Chhokar) over his upper right arm after having tied it in black thread. It turns down the malefic effects of Lord Shani.
Go and search the horse’s shoe and get it made into a ring from the blacksmith on any Saturday. Put it in the clean water or dip it into the unboiled milk on Friday night. On Saturday morning put it in the middle finger of your left hand. It gives instant results.
A person suffering from the troubles relating to SadheSatti should keep fasting on every Saturday for getting rid of such troubles. After worshipping Lord Shani, he should break his fast in the evening, after sun set. The Pooja Samagri used for worshipping Lord Hanuman are - Vermilion, black sesame oil, deepak and the red flower.
On Saturday fill the oil in the iron pot, putting seven pieces of black grams, seven pieces of barley, seven pieces of black urad into it and also putting Dakshina (Cash) over it. Looking your face into it, give the alms to a ‘Dakote’ or go and put it in the Shani Temple. This is applicable and result oriented, if performed before 11:00 AM only.
To nullify the adverse effects of ‘Sadhesatti’, one should take a bath putting aniseeds, i.e. the seeds of symploce racemose, poppy seeds, creosode, collyrium, the black sesame, mastic (gum arebic), 'shatkusum'; the parched rice in the water. It nullifies the malefic effects of Shani. http://shanidham.in/page.php?l_id=47

A Mantra is a religious or mystical syllable or poem, typically from the Sanskrit language. Their use varies according to the school and philosophy associated with the mantra. They are primarily used as spiritual conduits, words or vibrations that instil one-pointed concentration in the devotee. Other purposes have included religious ceremonies to accumulate wealth, avoid danger, or eliminate enemies. Mantras originated in the Vedic religion of India, later becoming an essential part of the Hindu tradition and a customary practice within Buddhism, Sikhism and Jainism. The use of mantras is now widespread throughout various spiritual movements, which are based on, or off-shoots of, the practices in the Hinduism.
Mantras are interpreted to be effective as sound (vibration), to the effect that great emphasis is put on correct pronunciation (resulting in an early development of a science of phonetics in India). They are intended to deliver the mind from illusion and material inclinations. Chanting is the process of repeating a mantra.
The Sanskrit word mantra- consists of the root ‘man-’, "to think" (also in manas "mind") and the suffix ‘-tra’ meaning, tool, hence a literal translation would be "instrument of thought".
In the context of the Vedas, the term "mantra" refers to the entire portion which contains the texts called Rig, Yajus or Saman, that is, the metrical part as opposed to the prose Brahmana commentary. With the transition from ritualistic Vedic religion to mystical and egalitarian Hindu schools of Yoga, Vedanta, Tantra and Bhakti, the orthodox attitude of the elite nature of mantra knowledge gave way to spiritual interpretations of mantras as a translation of the human will or desire into a form of action, with some features in common with spells in general. For the authors of the Hindu scriptures of the Upanishads, the syllable Aum, itself constituting a mantra, represents Brahman, the godhead, as well as the whole of creation.
Mantra in Hinduism
Mantras were originally conceived in the great Hindu scriptures known as the Vedas. Within practically all Hindu scriptures, the writing is formed in painstakingly crafted two line "Shlokas" and most mantras follow this pattern, although mantras are often found in single line or even single word combinations.

Shree Sidh Shakti Peeth Shanidham SHREE SHANI PILGRIMAGE AT ASOLA, FATEHPUR BERI (SHREE SHANI DHAM - A PLACE TO GET RID OF ALL TROUBLES.)

Delhi, the national capital of India is also known for Shree Shani Dham Temple, with the highest Statue of Lord Shani in the world. This temple which is about 8-9 Km away from Mehrauli is situated at Asola, Fatehpur Beri, is equipped with the natural Rock Idol of Lord Shani, as the chief deity. Apart from this, the other fabricated idols are also established since long..

These Idols were being worshipped, adored for long- long times but in last few years i.e. on 31 May 2003 when the largest Radiant Shani Idol was unveiled by ‘Anant Shree Vibhushit Jagat Guru Shankracharya Swami Madhavasharam Ji Maharaj', Since then it has become the center of attraction for the devotees of Lord Shani. Remember, before this unveiling of the radiant Idol of Shani. Shree Sidh Shakti Peeth Shanidham Pithadhishwar Shree Shree 1008 Mahamadaleshwer Paramhans Daati Ji Maharaj (Nijswaroopanand ji Maharaj) had performed enchanting of Shani Mantras for one hundred Crores and thirty two lakhs (in numbers) on this sacred grove. With a result, the whole environment of the Shani Dham Premises has become so alive that most of the problems of the devotees of Lord Shani are automatically solved, when they happen to reach this temple. Whatever troubles are left behind, they are also solved by their worshiping here and by offering oil (Telabhishek) to Lord Shani. Thereafter they should offer Poojan Samagri (Pooja Material) at the Statue of Lord Shani. Keeping in view to the convenience of the devotees visiting Shree Shani Dham and maintaining the purity and cleanliness, as also keeping in view, the security norms, under the present changing circumstances Pujan Samagari for Worshipping Lord Shani is made available in the premises of Ashram itself. All of you are requested that any Samagri brought from outside the temple premises should not be taken inside. Please co-operate us to maintain the discipline. Special Rituals to be performed on ‘SHANI AMAVASYA’ and The Adoration to Lord Shani

An opportunistic day to perform remedial measures for ‘Pitra Dosh’ & Kaal Sarpa Dosh’
On each ‘Shani Amavasya’, such rituals are performed at Shani Dham. On such occasions special worship and ‘Telabhishek’ (bathing the idol of Lord Shani with mustard oil) are performed in order to get people deprived of all oppressions caused by Shani during the SadheSatti (Seven and a half years period), Dhaiya (two & a half years period) or it’s major period, the sub-period or the sub sub-periods. Such rituals are also useful in obtaining the kind grace of Lord Shani and getting success in various ventures.
No one coming to Shani Dham with great hopes, ever goes disappointed because the statue of the datti (Lord Shani) has been established here, after enchanting of one crore and thirty two lacs of Mantras.
Our ancient sages have very clearly declared that propagation of wealth, prosperity the honour and regard as well as knowledge is caused through the grace of gods and the Saints. However, recovery to diseases and the propagation of progeny can be attained by the grace of the manes (deified ancestors). One can attain only such things through worshipping and adoration of the gods & saints, which are under their jurisdiction.
Man attains the contentment of good health and nourishment as well as propagation of progeny with the grace & blessings of his manes. At certain places, you find such stories in our ancient religious books regarding obtaining the hirer (propagation of progeny) by the grace of some saint, even that can’t be called an exception to this rule. When we reflect upon such cases where they could get a hirer by the grace of some saint or an ascetic person, we come to know that even their manes were also pleased with them, yet they had been deprived of child. Having a diseased child is not because of ‘Pitra Dosh’ but due to some other misdeed of their per-birth. When they succeeded in getting the grace of gods and saints through their worship and adoration to them, having undergone the penance, they could overcome the result of their misdeeds of the pre births.
It is to be mentioned here that whosoever suffers ‘Pitra Dosh’ i.e. anguish of his manes, he can’t avoid performing such rituals, as, to please the gods and the saints, he certainly happens to perform such rituals as may please them. To pacify the anguish of his manes, many remedies have been mentioned in our Epics. In olden days, people generally used to worship gods and gratify their deified ancestors everyday during the dark fortnight of Ashwani month. Mostly people perform rituals for the gratification of their manes (pittar) annually. Despite this, those who suffer ‘Pitra Dosh’ they have to perform special rituals to pacify their manes (deified ancestors). http://shanidham.in/page.php?l_id=45
